The Great Migration & Beyond

Choose Your
Expedition

Each journey is timed to nature's most spectacular moments — from calving to crossing, we position you at the heart of it all.

The Great Migration

Following the
Herd, All Year

1.5 million wildebeest move in one continuous 800-mile loop through the Serengeti ecosystem. Every Miguu expedition is timed to meet them at the right place, at the right moment.

1
Jan – Mar
Southern Serengeti · Ndutu
Calving season — 500,000 newborns and peak predators.
2
Apr – Jun
Western Corridor · Grumeti
Green season — the herds drift north and west.
3
Jul – Oct
Northern Serengeti · Mara River
The crossings — the climax of the migration.
4
Nov – Dec
Eastern Plains
The herds turn south, following the short rains home.

The Miguu Difference

Beyond the
Game Drive

We don't just take you on safari — we take you into the wild. Every detail is considered, every moment intentional. This is what separates a holiday from an expedition.

Glamping Under the Stars

Sleep in luxury tented suites at Kubukubu, Katikati, and Lake Masek — surrounded by the authentic sounds of the Serengeti at night.

Cultural Immersion

Meet the Hadzabe hunter-gatherers and Datoga blacksmiths at Lake Eyasi. Maasai village experiences woven into every itinerary.

Expert Local Guides

Led by Charles Mpanda — a Tanzanian naturalist with decades of Serengeti expertise and unmatched knowledge of the land.

Photography-First Design

Every itinerary is timed to golden hour. We position vehicles for the light, not just the animals — because the image matters.

Where the Wild Lives

“The Serengeti doesn't perform.
It simply is — and lets you witness.”

Our Story

Born from Friendship,
Rooted in the Wild

Miguu means "feet" in Swahili — a reminder that every great story begins when your feet touch the earth. In 2023, Tanzanian safari expert Charles Mpanda and Filipino adventurers Dondi & Corinne Joseph turned a chance meeting on the Serengeti into something extraordinary.

Today we curate safaris that go beyond travel — connecting people to wildlife, culture, and purpose, while supporting local communities across Tanzania.

People First
Every decision starts with people — guests, guides, and the communities we visit.
Wild at Heart
We position guests within the wild — never above it, never separate from it.
Give Back
Our expeditions actively support Tanzanian communities and conservation.
Expertise
Decades of Serengeti knowledge — every detail handled with care and intention.

Out where the wild begins

Every Miguu expedition puts you in the heart of it — dust, hooves, and the open Serengeti.

What Our
Guests Say

"

Witnessing 8,000 wildebeest calves born in a single morning was unlike anything we've ever experienced. Charles positioned us perfectly — we felt like we were part of the wild, not just watching it.

"

The Mara River crossing was the most cinematic thing I've ever seen. Crocodiles, thundering hooves, the dust rising off the riverbank — it was raw, unedited, real Africa. I cried.

Sarah K.
Singapore · Mara Crossing, Aug 2023
"

Miguu isn't just a safari company — they're storytellers. Sleeping under a Serengeti sky in a luxury tent, hearing lions in the distance... this was the experience of a lifetime.
